Bud of the week - Norway maple

 

Acer platanoides 'schwedleri' - Norway maple

Norway maple buds are strikingly red in coour; egg-shaped; about 1 - 1.5 cm in length.

Soon: masses of lime-green flowers.

Tree 1704, just north-east of the old tennis court.
